sitting outside the post office........

was in the next town to us, whilst mum went into the post office to mail a parcel for me, rosy and i waiting outside.

a lady passed me on a scooter, stopped reversed, she smiled and we began talking. she asked what put me in the wheelchair, my usual sentence came out, a genetic disease. ah what one do you mind me asking, nope. ehlers danlos and pots. she smiled, youve seen prof g then, yep. i have it too. so does my six children.

whats the chances of that. my first encounter with a real life ed-ers!!! we swapped stories, laughed, then she dug into her bag got a piece of paper, wrote her address and telephone number down and told me to contact her. couldnt stop smiling. she also said her youngest has just applied to medical school and got in. so a future dr with eds. another bonus.

That's a great story! I love it when chance encounters become meaningful and allow you to connect deeply with others.
