if not alice, then who?

ive a confession, new year and all that. my blog was named after my great aunt alice. she lived to a ripe old age, smoking and drinking way past the recommended government allowances. in retrospect she too suffered some sort of orthostatic intolerence. on saturdays she would spend the afternoon round my nans, smoking till the fug covered the entire upper half of the room. what i most liked about her was she cheated at cards. my nan had a set of ercol tables, the biggest would be places between the rocking chair and the settee, the cards would be dealt, usually trumps, i would sit and watch. she would always cheat, which i found rebellious and funny. i wished i could do the same.

if her name was alice, whats mine, one guess per blogger, per day until the guessed name is achieved. go on have a guess you know you want to. take a look at the mug shot above, what names suits the face? happy guessing.

happy new year.xxxxx

Hi Alice,

Have a great new year. You came through a lot last year and from afar seem to be a stronger person for it. Let's hope with some answers that this is the start of your journey to a better life.

All the best

Some of Alice has rubbed off on you teasing us like this. Hmm, now if I answered it would be cheating.

What would you have been called if you'd had a choice? I was nearly a Tracy, but my great grandmother intervened or so I'm told, and came up with Stephanie instead. My parents should have come up with something sensational and perhaps life would have been different. Always liked 'Tallulah' after Jodie Foster's character in Bugsy Malone. Ha ha!

You look sophisticated, pretty and intelligent...

so then...what about Vanessa or Anastasia? Georgina? Okay that's three but I like them ;-)

Hi Notalice. What an excellent tease to begin the new year!

Hmm, that photo makes you look like a Russian spy I think, so I'm guessing ...

Tatiana

It has to be something exotic. I'm thinking Boadicea because you have the heart of a warrior queen. Though I do like Diver's idea of Tatiana the Russian spy. Or what about Xenia Onatopp? Any woman who can kill a man with her thighs is a woman of power. Gotta luv James Bond.

Happy New Year, 2010 has to be a better one. xxx
