sock off

promise i wont go on about my knitted lovelies for too long. sock wool can be quite expensive. the cheapest ball ive bought is around £8. luckily i live within reach of two haberdashers shops, which in this age is rare. the nearest one has a lovely lady that knows quite abit about knitty stuff. so when my eyes glazed over at some micro-fibre type wool she explained that it was dk(double knit) to thick really for socks, however knitted on smaller needles a sock might just work. so i picked up my 2mm needles, and ribbed the whole sock. worked a treat. also today i saw another sock knitter in crystal palace, out came her bamboo needles with scrumptious deep red/purple wool and away she knit. im not the only fibre artist around.
